Introduction
This system is a tool for detecting and recording calcium signals in behavioral mice that combines optogenetic stimulation. It is used to record dynamic changes in weak fluorescent signals generated by specific types of neuronal activity in vivo and to apply photoactivation or inhibition. The system uses a multimode fiber bundle to guide stimulation light and fluorescence signals, thereby enabling optogenetic manipulation and simultaneous recording across multiple channels.
Advantages
470 nm light can be used to excite green fluorescent proteins, and 405 nm light is used as a reference channel to remove motion artifacts.
The number of channels depends on the number of fibers in the fiber bundle, making it easy to extend.
Four-port (up to eight-port) behavioral event acquisition, each port supports up to 1 kHz sampling rate.
Custom-designed acquisition program with options for short-term (continuous) or long-term (interval) recording.
Supports optogenetic manipulation at any power using light sources with wavelengths above 570 nm without creating stimulus artifacts.
