Introduction

Imaris is a 2D–5D multi-dimensional image visualization, rendering, and interactive analysis software for the life sciences. It can analyze imaging data acquired from wide-field, laser-scanning confocal, spinning-disk confocal, multi-photon, and super-resolution fluorescence microscopes as well as electron microscopy. With modules including Spots, Surface, Cell, and Filaments, it provides functions such as counting, trajectory tracking, co-localization, surface-structure rendering, and neuron and vasculature reconstruction.
