Instrument Name:
Curved Light Sheet Microscope Room: A338
Introduction
The Curved Light Sheet Microscope is equipped with specialized microscopy lenses designed for imaging on curved surfaces. It offers both a centimeter-scale field of view and micrometer-level resolution, with lens efficiency more than 10 times higher than that of conventional microscopes. This microscope successfully overcomes the field curvature limitations inherent in traditional lenses, significantly simplifying the lens design. The resolution throughout the entire field of view reaches the 1-micrometer diffraction limit. Additionally, a precision-adjustable curved light sheet illumination technology has been developed to match the resolution of high-throughput microscopes. The imaging process uses a time-delay integrated camera to synchronize sample scanning, resulting in high-contrast, seamless optical section images within a centimeter-scale field of view.
Application
The Curved Light Sheet Microscope is suitable for imaging samples with a refractive index between 1.33 and 1.56 using all available transparentization methods. It supports both single- and dual-sided illumination, as well as imaging of samples excited at wavelengths of 488nm, 561nm, 405nm, and 638nm. (Currently, it only operates at a refractive index of 1.54 and a excitation wavelength of 561nm.)
